Matson reference formats
Paste any of these references: BerthTime detects the type and the carrier. Carrier code (SCAC): MATS.
- Container number
- 11 characters (ISO 6346): a 4-letter owner code ending in U, a 6-digit serial number and a check digit.
- Matson's own containers usually start with MATU.
- Leased containers carry the lessor's owner code: choose Matson as the carrier when you add one.
- Bill of lading
- Enter the master BL number as printed on the Matson bill of lading.
- A BL brings in all the containers on it.
- A house BL issued by a forwarder is not known to Matson: use the master BL or the container numbers instead.
- Booking number
- Booking numbers work: BerthTime follows every container on the booking.
- Enter the number as shown on the Matson booking confirmation.
Data you get for Matson shipments
- The full event list of each container, with the load and discharge ports and the vessel ETA, for moves in roughly the last 90 days.
- Vessel name and voyage for each sea leg, when Matson gives them.
- Matson's ETA, with an email alert when the delay passes the threshold you set.
- Matson names vessels with an internal code, so the predicted arrival from the vessel's AIS position may not be available.
- The same shipment data over the REST API and signed webhooks.
